san josi nearly an inch. san francisco just about an inch and oakland 1.25". fremont just over 1.5". we're still tracking moderate to heavy rain across the region right now. all thought coverage has been decreasing on live stormtracker 2, but we're watching the santa cruz mountains with the excessive rainfall amounts. we'll check out the south bay for san josi, the darker shades evergreen and yellows reflect heavy rainfall towards milpitas and livermore, this activity just beginning to drift to the south and east. basically just a few lingering showers out towards the brentwood area and around antioch. those yellow and reds showing up around highway 4. and up in the north bay, you can pick out of the coverage backing off quite a bit, but we have some heavier downpours closer to the concord area. as far as snow, actually just snapped this picture a few minutes ago. highway 9, you can see the snow piling up. we still have a storm warning in place until 10:00 this evening. chains currently required on 80 and 50. travel will be better because cold front is heading

current temperatures have been cooling off and san francisco downtown 52 and san josi reporting 50 degrees at last check. forecast headlines for tonight, party to mostly cloudy. we bring showers changes coming up on the five-day forecast. overnight temperatures, we just showed you the cold numbers setting the stage for a cold sunday morning. lots of mid-30s for santa rosa and napa. san josi forecasted low around 43 degrees. had to snap this picture from this afternoon into the evening hours, beautiful with a few high clouds. you can see the high clouds showing up on the satellite the high pressure continues to build offshore. first thing sunday morning could be some gusty winds especially up in the hills around 30 miles per hour. but some of the stronger winds close to the surface, around the delta, 25 miles per hour. so a bit of a breeze for your sunday. temperatures though will be warming back up around 60-68 degrees. our forecast model showing you most of the organized fog out to our east. as a mentioned a few patches developing in the inland valleys. more sunshine into the evening hour

i want to give you a look because you can see san francisco police are in the process of shutting down essex street. now the water has been shut off and we showed you that in the last half hour but there is a new problem. if we pan over here, take a look at the construction site. you can see the scaffolding is compromised with some of the metal beams going down. the firefighter said he is not sure if that is stable or if that structure is compromised so if they can get the construction guys out here to make sure that it's not about to fall, they have shut down this street and they don't know when it will reopen. let me show you video from when all of this happened because there was quite a mess out here. it was shotting an estimated 30 feet in the air and 50,000 gallons came out before they were able to shut it off. again it started with a driver running through a red light and that's what police are telling ktvu channel 2 morning news. it started when this driver tried to turn on to essex and folsom and crashed into that fire hydrant. we don't know the extent of his injuries but we ha
